So yesterday I paid RM19.90+ for this BS bowl of not-that-fresh chopped up salmon/tuna/butterfish. No flavour whatsoever, saved by that glob of gauc on top. Basically rice flavoured with gauc and some mayo-ish sauce. Read somewhere that this place supposedly served premium seafood. Granted - maybe poke bowls meant using the leftover cuts from the main sashimi stock. Nevertheless, still disappointing. A few recommendations for this place (specifically for the poke bowl too) came from some friends online. So do I blame them? bad mouth them? No. It's just a case of different expectations and tastebuds. Same case for bloggers. U don't agree with their opinions? Their palate? Then don't follow them. I follow a few only myself. No need to bash them just coz u think they eating for free and thus automatically means that they will say good things. Whatever man. There are personal friends of mine that I absolutely don't trust their recommendations. Do I hate them? No. Think they ate for free so they say good stuff? Their tastebuds and mine are different, so I accept it as that. Long day today. Pissy AF. Maybe tmw I'll have some good food and be back to my cheery self. Oh wait... was I ever cheery? 🙄
